Apparently Leonardo DiCaprio likes to shoot Jim Beam commercials for the Asian market in his spare time. ‘Lost in Translation,’ much?

So! Remember that time that Leonardo DiCaprio did a Jim Beam commercial for the Asian market? No? Neither did we, but apparently this is one of the things he’s been up to recently. In it, he seems to have developed the ability to explode solid balls of ice at the snap of his fingers. Check it out:

As many have commented across the web, the whole situation is eerily reminiscent of the 2003 hit film Lost in Translation. The film centers around an aging American movie star played by Bill Murray who travels to Tokyo to film a high-paying whisky commercial. Here, we’ve got Leonardo DiCaprio, an aging American movie star, who has apparently traveled to somewhere in east Asia to film what we can only assume is a high-paying whisky commercial. See what we did there?

Admittedly, we’re a little confused by the whole thing (where exactly did Leo learn to do that neat trick with the ice, anyway); but at the same time, we find it weirdly mesmerizing and can’t seem to stop watching it. At least Leo looks to be a little happier here than Bill’s character did in Lost in Translation, right?
